Tilehurst Panthers Under 12s Shine as Guard of Honour for Oxford United Women: A Day to Remember
In a demonstration of community collaboration and support, Tilehurst Panthers Girls and Women’s Football Club’s under 12 team recently had the distinct privilege of forming the guard of honour for the Oxford United Women’s Team at their exhilarating match against the London Bees.
This unique opportunity, orchestrated by TMDS, proud sponsors of Oxford United’s business club, not only highlighted the camaraderie between local sports entities but also underscored the importance of nurturing young talent.
Coach John Greenough of Tilehurst Panthers U12’s commented on the experience, stating, “The girls enjoyed the experience immensely. Playing professional football is what many of the girls aspire to achieve. I am sure it will be a memory many of them will treasure for many years to come.”
Oxford United Women emerged triumphant with a commendable 3-1 victory over the London Bees. The standout performance of Jenna Legg earned her the prestigious Player of the Match award, presented by Simon Vine, Managing Director of TMDS.
Simon said “It’s essential to nurture and uplift our local sports communities.
